Need to slow my spending

I have so many expenses right now, my head is swimming. Some of them are necessary expenses: property taxes, professional licenses, condo assessment, professional dues, as well as regular monthly expenses, while some are not so necessary: two trips to the beach in the next six months, dinners out, plane tickets, and a cruise next January. Plus all the other fun things I do.

I also may have to buy a new central air conditioning system in the near future, and that idea is scaring the pants off me. I am hoping to hold off on that, but you never know when that anvil will fall. Additionally, there is a tax credit and a state rebate you can get until the end of the year for buying an energy saving AC system, and that would help. I don’t know if the credit and rebate will also be offered in the future. Wish I knew. It would be a shame to miss that opportunity and then have to pay an arm and leg for a system next year. Still, it is a lot of money to shell out if you can wait some more.

I still have my regular job, and I am making some money from my part-time law practice. I am counting on being able to pay for everything. I will have to cut some dinners out and other frivolous things. Don’t want to mess with the vacations right now. Who knows when I will get these opporuntitie again? I guess if need be, I could get an

But I am going to cut the fat out my budget to make everything work. Maybe my law work will take off.
